The faithful believe they all the same?

In reading the letters from prison of Antonio Gramsci for another text posted on Paris-Tirana I found this very interesting example. In a letter to his sister Teresina, dated November 16, 1931 (letter 224 of the Gallimard edition of 1971), Gramsci it tells a story about her aunt, Grazia. Not including a word of Latin, the literal meaning of the Pater Noster he was estranged. The phonetics of speech vaguely Latin text made him understand that there is a Donna Bisodia, pious woman if she was mentioned in every Mass ... This lady Bisodia became for her an example of virtue, an example which is directly out of his imagination. If asked directly the various registers of beliefs. One can say without believing Catholic share the belief of his neighbor and fellow Muslim. This aunt Gramsci's thought well be faithful to the dogma, the text of a prayer, but this text, it does not understand so she thought she did anything else. It and on this point, the interpretation of the text was different depending on the degree of knowledge of the Latin people in the audience or pedagogy or fine priest. So it's a very interesting field that is raised here: the receipt of dogma or sacred text and its absorption / deflection by the person who receives it.
reads commented briefly here:
The sentence: "A ship leaving the port by dancing a jig, it's like taking a death and paid at the end of the month" is not a riddle but a freak with no sense, used to make fun of people who assemble meaningless words, believing that I do not know what things deep mysterious significance. This was the case for many villagers (do you remember Monsieur Camedda?) Which, to showcase the culture, gathered in the popular novels of big words then they introduced indiscriminately into the conversation, to amaze farmers. Thus the bigoted repeat the Latin prayers contained in the Philothea: do you remember that Aunt Grazia believed that there had been a "lady Bisodia" very religious, so pious that his name was always repeated in the Pater noster? It was Dona nobis hodie the that, like many others, she read Bisodia and gave it thought was a lady of the past, when everyone went to church and there was still a little religion on this earth. - One could write a story about this "lady Bisodia" imaginary we gave an example: how often will Grazia aunt she told Grazietta to Emma and you too perhaps - "Ah! sure, you're not like Bisodia lady! "When you do not want to go to confession for Easter. Now you can tell this story to your children and do not forget the story of the beggar Mogoro, the musca maghedda and black and white horses that we waited so long . - Dear Teresina, I embrace you affectionately.

A well-known speaker started his seminar by holding high a ticket for 20euros! He asks people: "Who would like this ticket?" The hands begin to rise. Then he said: "I will give this bill of 20euros to one of you, but first let me start doing something with" He crumples the ticket so forcefully and he asks: "Is you still want this ticket? "the hands continue to rise. "Well, okay, but what happens if I do that?" He threw the crumpled bill on the floor and jumped with both feet on it, crushing it as much as possible and dust covering the plancher.Ensuite he asks, "Who still wants to have this ticket?" Obviously, the hands continue to rise! My friends, you just learn a lesson ... No matter what I do with this ticket, you still want it because its value has not changed. It is always 20euros. Several times in your life you will be offended, reget, defiled by people or events. You'll feel that you're worth nothing, but in reality Your value has not changed in the eyes of people who love you! The value of a person is not what it does or does work. There can always start over and achieve your goals because your intrinsic value remains intact.
